The Latvian factory Vilnas Fabrika produces both spun yarn with section dyeing and solid-colored yarn. The yarn consists exclusively of sheep’s wool, without any addition of other types of fibers. Knitted garments made from it provide excellent protection against the cold, are very warm, and incredibly beautiful.
The yarn is available in three thicknesses: 6/1 – 420 m per 100 g (single strand), 6/2 – 275 m per 100 g (double strand), and 6/3 – 125 m per 100 g (rarely available). The yarn is sold in skeins of varying weights.
The factory produces different colors for each batch — meaning there is no fixed color palette, and every batch features new color combinations. This is one of the characteristics of Dundaga! It is ideal for those who love to experiment and create something unique. In this case, it is recommended to purchase enough yarn to ensure you have enough for your intended project.
The colors have no names or factory markings. Sellers assign their own names to the colors, but usually, a numeric code is used. Therefore, the correct color from another shop can only be selected based on the color pattern, not on a label.

The length of the color sections always varies, regardless of the number of colors in the skein. The length of the sections differs between skeins of the same color. Each skein begins and ends with different shades.

De fabriek produceert verschillende kleuren per partij, d.w.z. er is geen vaste kleurenpalet en elke partij heeft nieuwe kleurcombinaties. Dit is een van de kenmerken van Dundaga! Het is ideaal voor liefhebbers van experimenteren en het inbrengen van iets nieuws. In dit geval is het raadzaam om voldoende garen te kopen zodat het zeker voldoende is voor het beoogde project.
De kleuren hebben geen namen of fabrieksmarkeringen. Verkopers geven zelf namen aan de kleuren, maar meestal wordt er een cijfercode toegekend. Daarom kan het juiste kleur bij een andere winkel alleen op basis van het kleurpatroon worden gekocht, niet op basis van een markering!

De lengte van de secties varieert altijd, ongeacht het aantal kleuren in de streng. De lengte van de secties in verschillende strengen van dezelfde kleur verschilt. Een streng begint en eindigt met verschillende kleuren.
